Introducing a new traditionally grounded Academic Institute for Shi‘a Islamic Studies
Al-Hikma Seminary
for Traditional Approaches to Shi‘a Islamic Studies
(Previously known as Hawza Ilmiyya)
A Contemporary Reimagining of a 25-Year Legacy
For over a quarter of a century, The Islamic College has delivered core Hawza-style Shi‘a Islamic Studies rooted in the rich tradition of Islamic history and culture and in particular Shi‘a scholarly legacy.
Building on this notable heritage, we are proud to present a newly rebranded and enhanced programme:
Al-Hikma Seminary is a specialised academic institution which presents an innovative approach to traditional Islamic Studies (with a particular emphasis on Shi‘a Islamic Studies).
Al-Hikma Seminary offers a structured and spiritually grounded curriculum that mirrors the depth, discipline, and ethos of renowned seminaries such as Najaf and Qom and Al-Azhar University —now thoughtfully adapted for the intellectual, ethical, and spiritual needs of our time.
