The Research and Publications Department at The Islamic College is dedicated to advancing the study of Islam and Muslim societies across historical and contemporary contexts. Our research spans a wide range of disciplines, including Qur’an and hadith studies, theology, philosophy, mysticism, jurisprudence, ethics, politics, and history.
Through our publishing division, ICAS Press, we have produced over fifty scholarly works. Additionally, we publish the Journal of Shi‘a Islamic Studies (JSIS)—a quarterly refereed academic journal—and Islamic Writings, the College’s annual student journal.

Key Activities:

• Translating classical Islamic texts into English
• Publishing works that explore the thought, faith, and practice of Shi‘i Islam
• Conducting research on topics relevant to modern Islamic society
• Publishing the Journal of Shi‘a Islamic Studies (JSIS)
• Producing the annual Islamic Writings journal
• Organizing research seminars, lectures, webinars, and conferences, including the Annual Conference on Shi‘i Studies
• Recognizing and awarding students for excellence in research and academic writing
