The Islamic College maintained an academic partnership with Middlesex University for a period of twenty-three years (from 2000 until 2023). Throughout this period, these undergraduate (BA) Programmes offered by the College were formally validated by Middlesex University. In effect, the academic quality and standards of the College’s current BA-Equivalent Programmes, modelled on the Middlesex University’s standards, remains unchanged. The new BA-Equivalents Programmes is academically comparable to a Bachelor’s degree, classified as a Level 6 qualification on the Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ) for England. This means the depth of study, intellectual demand, and volume of learning are comparable to a standard UK Bachelor’s honours degree. These programmes are designed for personal and professional development. Please note: The final certificate is assessed, verified, and granted solely by The Islamic College. It is a College-certified qualification in Islamic Studies. The Islamic College is an independent institution and although is registered with the Office for Students (OfS) is not a UK degree-awarding body. Accordingly, this qualification is not a UK honours degree. Prospective students should confirm its recognition with employers, professional bodies, or further study providers before enrolling. Equivalent Programmes are designed to provide all those who are interested in acquiring in-depth knowledge about various branches of Islamic Studies regardless of their previous academic background, with an enhanced and systematic understanding of diverse topics in Islamic Studies such as Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Theology (Kalam), Mysticism, Quranic Studies, Hadith Studies, Fiqh and Usul-al-Fiqh, and History of Islam.
