Mulla Muhsin Fayd Kashani was born in seventeen century in Kāshān, Iran. Possessing an exceptional aptitude for scholarship, Kashani rose to become one of the most prominent Islamic scholars of the Safavid era, standing as a contemporary and peer to his father-in-law, the celebrated philosopher Mullā Sadrā. His scholarly pursuits spanned a wide array of disciplines, including jurisprudence (fiqh), theology (kalām), Qur’ān and hadīth commentary, philosophy (falsafah), and mysticism (tasawwuf).
