Are you about to finish your A Levels study or Access course?
Are you considering the possibility of taking a university degree in Islamic Studies?
The Islamic College is pleased to announce an Experience Day to give you a taste of what to expect, should you decide to take up the challenge of Islamic Studies at an academic level. The day is open to all prospective students. You will have the opportunity to talk to our academic staff and current students. The event is set up to give you the chance to experience student life in an academic classroom environment and collect as much information as you need about our programme.
This is a FREE event but REGISTRATION is required.
Schedule for the day:
10:00 – 10:20 | Introduction lecture by the Director of Education | The significance of Islamic Studies |
10:30 – 11:10 | Taster Course 1 | Arabic Language |
11:15 – 11:55 | Online lecture | Introduction to Hadith studies |
12:00 – 12:10 | Tea break & visit to the exhibition | |
12:10 – 12:55 | Taster Course 2 | Islamic History |
13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch break – prayer | (Provided by the college) |
14:00 – 14:40 | Public Lecture | Introduction to Islamic Theology |
14:45 – 15:30 | Q&A (With Academic & Registrar staff) |
